Psychometric Testing
You may have a short-list of candidates who can perform the technical, administrative or management elements of the role. However, you may want to know how the candidates would perform in specific circumstances, or find out how they would fit in with your existing team.

This is particularly important if you have a small team, where any difficulties could have a big impact on the working of the organisation.

To get an indication of their preferred working style, you could ask the candidates to undergo occupational psychometric assessment as part of the whole selection process.

Psychometric tests enhance the quality and quantity of information available for selection. They look at an individual’s personal working style and would give you an insight into the way they do what they do. For example, some jobs require individuals who are very creative, others require people who are sticklers for rule following. Some need staff to work closely in a team and others need employees who are happy to work by themselves. You need to fit the right personality with the right job.

Using an assessor qualified in occupational psychometric testing and feedback can improve your chances of success in choosing the right candidate for the job and save you time and money.
